Solar gains calculations

A combination of external and internal shading systems are used on windows of buildings to comply with current Part L requirements. Badly designed external shading can result in an increased cooling load requirement for the building which will therefore require greater energy consumption.

EECO2 can provide calculations of heat gains which account for solar gains and internal gains from people and equipment that is needed to comply with Part L building regulations.
